Fran oversees Gibson’s internal production teams, which include information technology (IT), virtual design and construction (VCD) / building information modeling (BIM), prefabrication, and warehouse operations. Additionally, he manages Gibson’s risk, hard assets, and facilities. 

Fran is dedicated to delivering high-quality projects that maximize client operations, while also meeting demanding budget and schedule requirements. To achieve these rigorous standards, he and his teams stay ahead of the technological curve, helping to ensure that Gibson is outfitted with the latest tools, equipment, and support services.

Fran knows he has met his objective if he can guarantee that project mangers and field employees have the systems and services they need to effectively meet the most complex challenges of today’s electrical construction environment.

Expertise

Fran has more than 40 years of experience in the electrical construction industry. He joined the Gibson team in 1984 after working as an electrical engineer and project coordinator with another industry-leading company.

Throughout his career with Gibson, he has held a variety of positions, from training coordinator to safety manager to vice president of operations – working his way up through the ranks to his current position.

Fran holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and spent time studying at the University of Illinois and the Midwest College of Engineering.

The Personal Side

Fran is married and has two daughters. In his free time, he enjoys watching hockey, drag racing, and motorcross. Fran has a passion for wolves and dogs, especially his Jack Russell Terrier.
